Augusta is in Georgia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Augusta follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

When we checked in, we were told that no riders were allowed before 1 PM, even though we were completely willing to pay the $30 cart fee and there were open tee times. We were told that if the 8 AM group canceled, then we could bring a rider? otherwise, we were simply out of luck. Already frustrating, especially because this is not how other courses in the area operate. Luckily, there was an 8 AM cancellation, so we were allowed to play. My boyfriend paid $64 for himself, a $30 spectator fee, and for two waters. The total was never clearly explained to him at checkout. After the round, he checked his bank account and noticed he had been charged $124.56. I called the course to ask about the charge and was told that it was $50 for me to RIDE, regardless of whether I played or not. That was NEVER communicated to us when he paid. This is especially confusing because the course advertises a $30 spectator fee for 18 holes. We were also paired with a foursome on the first tee despite booking as a twosome, which wasn’t a huge deal in hindsight, but unfortunately added to an already frustrating experience. My boyfriend left an honest, non-emotional review explaining what happened. Instead

Starting off, the course itself is fine, some rough patches but overall decent. But that’s about it. To start off the morning, it was me my father, and my girlfriend, she doesn’t play but tagged along with me, and I had no issue paying for a rider as you do at every course. We had to wait 20 minutes to see if a tee time would cancel JUST so she was able to ride. After that was settled she then charged me for 2 golfers when the girlfriend was a rider. I paid 124.56 for ONE golfer SUPPOSEDLY a rider, and 2 waters. The course isn’t worth $65, but charging double that for a rider is ridiculous. The customer service here will turn almost everyone away, as you can tell from prior reviews. Tried to give it the benefit of the doubt, but will not be back out here. $124 for a golfer and rider, and I only know this because I checked my bank statement, she didn’t read me my total, probably realizing she was ripping my ass off. (Edit) after calling up there, I was informed it’s $50 per person for a cart regardless if you play or no, sure woulda been nice for her to let me know that at checkout, where they have a big sheet of paper saying $30 for a spectator. Still steep but not $50 steep.

Goshen Plantation Golf Club just gave me and my friends the WORST experience. We were told the course was in mint condition and that was far from the truth. It was not disclosed that it was cart path only until we got to the first tee box and our Golf carts locked us down when we tried to ride into the fairway. Cart path only is hard when there’s no decent cart path to even ride on. We pushed passed it and still had fun but it was extremely hot and several in our group started getting Heat exhaustion so we decided to call it quits after nine and just like any other golf course in the CSRA you would be able to get your other nine you paid for as a rain check and you could come back and play another day. Especially when people in your group can’t physically keep playing because of the heat. We went into the pro shop and the owner came out so we asked for a comp to come back and finish our round on another day and we’re told that their system did not allow rain checks to be given out unless it was actually raining outside. And then she proceeded to say her system didn’t allow for any type of refunds or for Comp rounds to be given out. I asked since she was the owner could she not just

We should’ve left when we pulled into an overgrown parking lot and a clubhouse that had mold and a bathroom ceiling pulling in not to mention the smell of asbestos. This course used to be something but now it’s a different kind of something. What really made us mad was when it was 95 degrees with 80% humidity and we asked for a rain check for the last 9 and instead of the owner explaining why she couldn’t do that she just walked away and avoided us… absolutely unbelievable haha. Besides all of that the course was the worst I’ve ever played and this is apparently the best greens they’ve had. What a joke. What’s the phone number for a health code violation?!

Played here with some buddies and we had to leave due to unforeseen circumstances so we only got to play 9 holes. We rode together so we had to leave together. We went in and asked for either a partial refund or rain check. We were told by the owner their system did not allow refunds or rain checks unless it was raining because the system “follows the weather”. We were not trying to get free golf or gip anyone. Just sadly had to leave and didn’t want to lose money.. As we were trying to talk to her she walks off back into her office and ignores us. Good business goshen golf. Good business. 👍
